Egg Masters

Japanese TV, Technology |

Beta Gel is a soft silicone gel developed by Tokyo-based Geltec Corporation. It is an improvement of Alpha Gel, a shock absorbing Geltec gel that is currently being put to use in products such as shoe soles and the protective lining of portable radio equipment. While Alpha Gel is pretty damn good at softening blows, it loses out to Beta Gel in the following test:

Yes, that’s right: They dropped an egg onto a sheet of Beta Gel from the roof of a 22-meter tall building, and the thing didn’t break!

design music

hey ppl,

I was sitting and sketching and started to notice that I usually listen to the same kind of music when I do design related stuff!
Do you guys like any special kind of music when designing, brainstorming, building stuff or just sketching??

My favorite are the Essential mixes on BBC Radio 1... electronic music always inspires me!

If you don't know it and you like top-notch mixes, you should check it out! Many older mixes can be downloaded and streamed in many places around the web, but Radio 1 actually puts the mix of the week as a stream onto their website!

Some of my favorites from the past were Trentemöller, Justice, Dj Hell and of course the great great AME...

Here's the link: Essential

Welcome!

Hey everybody,

this is a blog about the Design, Research and Development class (primarily) for the Sophomores in the Product Design Dept. at Parsons. But of course also the teachers are invited and encouraged to use the blog to post and read!
It's a place to share research, links or other interesting stuff!

This really only works if people mail me and let me invite them to the blog so that as many as possible can post and share!
I did this in other classes and it always worked out pretty cool!

Alright, let's try this!!
